Most of our classes are either eight-weeks or ten-weeks long. Class descriptions note the length of each class, including those few that are exceptions to the eight- and ten-week rule. All classes must be paid in full before the first day of class. The registation form, which you'll reach with the below link, will specify the cost of the individual class.

Please contact us at writers@writers.com if you have questions or wish to discuss the class or the registration process with us before you register. All information sent through our registration form is encrypted using the SSL industry standard protocol. (Click here to read more about SSL encryption.) After you register, an automatic confirmation will be sent to you. A second confirmation will then come from a real, living, breathing human being within three days. If you do not receive this second confirmation, please write to us to make certain of your place in the class.

One-to-One Instruction/Tutoring/Editing/Specialized Services

Please note: The tutoring and the writing classes are entirely separate: you don't need to take a class to register for tutoring, and you don't need to pay for a tutor to participate in a class. It's generally less expensive to work in a class, where you'll receive feedback from the teacher on a regular basis. One-to-one work is helpful when you already have work you want to refine either for your own satisfaction or to prepare for publication.

Your instructor/editor will keep a record of the time spent with you on individualized work such as reading your email and writing in response, reading your work and offering critique, making corrections and suggestions, etc. At the end of each month a notice will be sent to your email address billing you at the rate of $60US per hour and your credit card will be billed for that amount. If you wish, you can give your instructor/editor an hourly limit for the month. For example, if you wish to spend no more than $60 per week, or every two weeks, using one hour of the tutor's time, advise the tutor of your budget. He or she will then monitor the time.

Billing

Writers on the Net accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Our registration form for the classes is a safe and secure link to the Writers on the Net server, and any credit card information you send through that form cannot be intercepted.
